Explore the fantastic ridges, crags and mountains of North Wales with like-minded people.
Club meets, weekends away and trips further afield throughout the year.
Founded in 1954, the Mountaineering Club of North Wales is a friendly club for people who enjoy getting out into the mountains.
We’re a relatively small club, which means it’s easy to get to know people. Our members have a wide range of experience and interests, from hill walking and scrambling through to rock climbing and mountaineering.
We meet regularly in North Wales and members also organise trips and activities throughout the UK and further afield.
Our Mountain Hut home is Tal y Braich in the Ogwen Valley with stunning views of the Glyderau and Carneddau.
Once a month members from the club gather, often at Tal y Braich for a weekend in the mountains.
There is often a chance to join members on an "away meet", exploring other parts of the UK or further afield.
Not only does being a member mean a shared love of the mountains with others but you also get a host of benefits.
